Essay On Katniss

I choose to do ‘The Hunger Games’ movie to review. The main character is named Katniss and is originally part of District Eight. Each yeah the Districts come together and choose one person to fight in “The Hunger Games”, it doesn't matter the age or gender. Katniss’ family in our world is lower class and comes from a loving family, but her father died. She started out as a player in the games because her sister was called and she volunteered as a tribute. Her current work situation is finding her spot in District 13 and going back to eventually bring the Districts together.

From being able to see all of The Hunger Games, I have noticed how Katniss has changed emotionally and physically. She is very irritable, avoidant of people, and her entire personality changes into a person whom just lives life day by day, someone who is here but isn't , someone who isn’t aware. Her thoughts have become the death of her and haunt her at night while she sleeps. Her sister wakes her up from multiple night terrors and bad dreams, she isn't like she was in the past movies willing to help the other districts come together and be the mockingjay, she has to be convinced in this movie. You can tell she is destroyed mentally and physically.

Katniss has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in this movie and it is from being in the games each

Katniss is the strongest female character I have seen and it is because of her will to get back what she lost. She still has hope for the future and is willing to go to war for it. She has had no treatment besides being hospitalized a couple of different times but I don't believe that she was on any medicines or if they even had any available in the movie. She surrounds herself with her family and lives for her younger sister and survives to fight for Peeta and

Most people in the districts know that if a young girl, like Katniss, was to volunteer and go into the Hunger Games that she would most likely die and not be able to stand her ground. Throughout the whole movie and games, Katniss struggles to prove that she is strong and worthy of this. For example, at one part of the movie, she perfectly aims her arrow right next to all the government officials who refused to pay any attention to her skills. This can be related to the modern day struggle that women still have in this country when competing for army or navy seal positions. Men and even some woman, every day, say how men are physically stronger which means they are much more capable.…
