Meat, dairy products, seafood, beans, whole grains, and nuts are all high in protein content. Not only are they high in protein, but the body utilizes other nutrients in these foods as well. But there are certain types of seeds that are very high in protein. Seeds are cheap and could be used to replace more expensive food in the human diet. While many health organizations maintain that eating saturated fat from any source can compromise your health, the latest studies suggest that the effect of saturated fats on blood cholesterol varies from person to person, depending on genetics and other health factors. People who eat large quantities of saturated fat, do not experience more cardiovascular disease than those who eat less. In fact, consuming whole-fat dairy may even have beneficial effects for some people, including helping to control weight” (Robinson L; etc…; 2016). “Eating a proper, nutritious diet offers numerous health benefits that keep you mentally and physically well. Proper nutrition doesn’t mean starving yourself, but instead, means eating a diet balanced in lean proteins, carbs and fats” (Styles S; 2016). The hypothesis for these tests is that seeds will have a high protein content, but as an overall replacement, will not be suitable for complete replacement of meat, dairy products, or any healthy, balanced meal.
