Essay On Immigration Issues

When it came down to immigrant issues, all candidates unanimously agreed that a conclusion needs to be reached to change it. According to the Fox video, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, and Mike Huckabee all had different ways of solving immigration issues. Marco Rubio’s views stood out to me because he brought up his experience and tied it into the questions being asked. This is important because he does not deny where he is from or his struggles. Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio both “won” the debate because they each offered something different from all other candidates. According to the Fox video, Jeb Bush stated that he is his own man but happens to have a father and a brother who were in office already. He stated that this does not alter …show more content…
He revolved the debate on himself, for example in the Fox video when the female host summarized hos social media posts, he stated that he could be meaner to her but he chooses not to. This implied that he accepts the facts of his social media posts and would have more than likely attacked her verbally if they were not on national television. According to the video he also stated that we continuously lose Mexico and China both at the borders and economically. His stated was too vague because anyone could state what he said. He should have provided facts about his statement. He exclusively only singled out Mexican immigrants that they are the only ones who are criminals. When in reality he is being racist because criminal activity sees no ethnicity, gender, age, etc. If he actually knew what he talked about he would know that the specific immigrant group that he singled out are the largest group of field workers in the nation. Mexican immigrants are not taking away anyone’s job they are just doing the jobs that no one is doing. Lastly, if he actually knew what he was talking about the largest groups of immigrants are not Mexican immigrants; they are from Guatemala and Honduras. This shows that he has little to no knowledge in politics and gets by, by what he reads. This also demonstrates that he not capable in running office because he would more than likely revolve it around

I would also have to agree with his one this point. There are also polls to support this opinion. “A CNN/ORC poll of debate watchers released after the event found 62% felt Clinton won compared to 27% for Trump.”. In the beginning of the debate Trump was strong with his arguments. He made good points about the economy and jobs.…

He referred to us as outsiders and detrimental to the success of the great nation. “Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our products, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.” In this quote he is saying that anyone outside of the United States is stealing the jobs of “true Americans.” Throughout his whole campaign he has belittled and rejected the allowance of immigrants into the country as to not dilute it.…

With still over two months until election day, the 2016 Presidential Election has already proven itself to be one of the most controversial elections in United States history. The Republican candidate, Donald Trump, is thought to be highly unqualified to be president because of his lack of political history and the things he has said during his speeches. The Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton, is highly disliked by the majority of the public because of her sketchy political history. In the first presidential debate of the year, Americans will see both good and bad things about each of the candidates. People who don’t favor Donald Trump believe that he is not fit to be president because he doesn’t act presidentially.…

So, Mr. Trump is making sure that he continues to restate the issue by saying that he won the election legitimately. By doing this, he is making sure that he can back himself up and that he isn’t going to let the news/media control him. He is also making sure that the media/news is not getting in the way of his presidency and making sure that he stays in control of what he does because if he does not have an argument against them, then that symbolizes that he lost and that they are correct about what they are saying. I also would like to state that blaming 3 million illegal immigrants making him lose the popular vote is really ignorant. There’s no proof that all of them were illegal immigrants, so why continue to talk about this issue at the White House Reception even though he has power.…

He has said many racial slurs. In one of Donald Trumps many speeches he had said, “sending people that have lots of problems” to America including rapists, drug runners and other crimminals. Donald Trump was implying that all Mexicans were just trouble makers. Another example of a racial slur Trump had made was when he had an interview to a business insider where he described the idea that the Mexican government is purposely “pushing the bad ones” to the US. he has said word for word that “The United States has become a dumping ground for Mexico and, in fact, for many other parts of the world.”…

In my opinion, Donald Trump won the first presidential debate. His best moments were at the beginning as he described a worn down United States, taken advantage of by other countries and torn apart by its own government. His commitment was to hold these people responsible at home and abroad and get tough on anyone who opposed him. Some of the most important statements he made was that he is going to get jobs back into America and re-negotiate our trade deals so we aren’t getting screwed over by people like China. I liked what he had to say to Hillary Clinton: “For 30 years, you've been doing it, and now you're just starting to think of solutions.”…

This was the last time that the candidates got to show us what the plan to do with our nation. The debate had a lot of pros and cons to it but it happens to be both candidates best performance. Trump actually acted civilized with a few minor name calling here and there. Hillary had to answer questions about her emails on Wikileaks. Overall, this was a better debate from last two.…

The third presidential debate with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump was very interesting. Some words that describe my thoughts and feelings about this debate are unproffesional, vulgar, smart, patience, and productive. Unprofessional because they were some parts were the candidates were not proffesionals at all, interrupting one another and saying things that were not necessary. Vulgar because by the end of the debate Donald Trump called Hillary Clinton “a nasty women” and also said some innapropiated words that should have not been said at a final debate. That was a turning point and very unprofessioanal, and not a gentle man like for him to call a women nasty.…

Everyone is fully aware of the Trump phenomenon where criticism had no effect on his popularity. In fact, most every time he acted indecent and/or immoral, his poll numbers went up during the primaries. We’ve never seen anything like this in our nation. Even with this advantage, he still never would have gotten where he was if some other critical factors weren’t in play. Trump stood out against the whole slew of his other GOP rivals.…

NEW HAMPSHIRE – U.S. Ohio Governor John Kasich had a breakout moment at Saturday evenings’ New Hampshire GOP debate. The 2016 Republican primary has garnered a largely negative reputation. As big name candidates such as Donald Trump and Ted Cruz make statements for shock value and gain attention doing so, many mainstream Americans look to the GOP debates as a spectacle. The remaining candidates who participated in the February 6 debate were governors - Jeb Bush of Florida, John Kasich of Ohio and Chris Christie of New Jersey, senators – Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, and new to political office - Donald Trump.…

In my opinion, there a lot of different aspects voters need to know about when voting for any seat, whether it be town council, mayor or President of the United States. There are hundreds of ideas and values that need to be addressed and in no way can they be addressed in one instance. Using these debates to inform the public about their views on popular issues such as abortion and torture is understandable, and I believe having multiple debates to discuss these matters are important. However, having debates to roast each other is a waist of time and does not help the public chose a president, in my opinion. Donald Trump spent a lot of time pointing fingers at Marco Rubio.…

Many U.S. citizens believe that immigration is actually a negative influence on society. Some people see immigration as harmful to the American economy because they believe that these immigrants are taking away jobs from natives. This idea can be easily dismissed, as it is proven that even with the population at a far higher percentage (12 percent) of foreign-born Americans than in recent decades, the economy has still experienced a higher overall gross domestic product (GDP), higher GDP per person, higher productivity per person, and higher employment rates among Americans. Even if immigration is not the cause for this economic boom, it certainly should not be to blame for false perceptions of economic downfall. As far as social contributions, many traditional American citizens carry too much pride to admit that foreigners could have a positive influence on the society of the United States.…

At the beginning of any discussion regarding the current events and issues, his opinion goes with the flow, conservative, not too criticizing. However, when the discussion starts to heat up, he becomes analytic and criticizing. I believe he is like that because he had lived in two completely different cultures.
