The author Shayan Zadeh of the article “Bring on More Immigrant Entrepreneurs,” seems to make the point that immigrants add to the growth of the economy by creating more jobs. He was responding to the popular assumption that “Immigrants take jobs from Americans, or drain the U.S. economy.” My response to this is that, although immigrants take some jobs, they also create jobs and help in economic growth.
The author says immigrants create jobs, and add to the growth of the U. S. economy. This is contrary to the general belief that immigrants are taking jobs from Americans. I agree with Zadeh that immigrants create jobs when given legal status. Many immigrants are talented and educated, and have entrepreneurial skills, all they need is a platform that will enable them to showcase their entrepreneurial abilities. Immigrants are so desperate to make a better living for themselves, they go extra miles in their quest to be successful. For clarity, the world sees America as the land of opportunities. It is assumed that as far you are focused and determined, you can achieve anything you wish. This is what runs in the minds of immigrants that do not have a platform to establish their skills in their countries. They believe that when they get to the U.S. they will automatically put their entrepreneurial skills in practice and create a company, employ staffs, and pay taxes to the government, but they always meet with stiff challenges from immigration as that of Zadeh and this turns down their …show more content…

Currently he has four employees of which three of them are Americans. He saved more money and then started shipping automobile parts to Africa. He also employed Americans that works for him, and his companies and employees pay taxes thereby contributing their fair share to the growth of the economy
A research work which was cited in Bob Bryan article “Immigrants create tons of jobs for local workers,” which was published in Business Insider on June 18,2015, states that “Each immigrant creates 1.2 local jobs for local workers, most of them going to native workers.” This can be said that in 1000 immigrants, 1200 jobs are created and most of these jobs are occupied my citizens of the U.S., thereby increasing job availability and economic
