In Of Mice and Men written by John Steinbeck; George kills his only companion. That decision wasn't the right one because George could get Lennie help. Lennie could live a somewhat normal life. George shouldn’t have killed Lennie because he could have told him how to act, what to do, and how strong he is.
George shouldn’t have killed Lennie because Lennie has a mental disability. If George would have talked to Lennie every so often or he got someone to talk to him Lennie could have lived. George should have helped Lennie more than he did. When George and Lennie first met George treated Lennie like he wasn’t as good as everyone else. George would play jokes on Lennie. Tell him to do dumb things because Lennie didn’t understand ‘“ I was feelin’ pretty smart. I turns to Lennie and says ‘Jump in.’ An’ he jumps. Couldn’t swim a stroke. He damn near drowned before we could get him’”(Steinbeck 40). If George didn’t spend that time messing around with Lennie. Lennie would have been better off. If George took Lennie’s disability serious the situation in Weed wouldn't have happened . The death of Curley’s wife which

Like when Lennie killed Curley's wife “You stop now, you’ll mess it all up. She jerked her head sideways and Lennie’s finger closed on her hair and hung on.”(Steinbeck 91). In that situation if someone taught Lennie what to do he wouldn’t freak out and held on. He would let go and that thing he was holding on to wouldn’t get hurt. But they are wrong because people don’t kill other people that have a disability. That person with the disability should be help and taught. George was that person to help and teach Lennie.
George shouldn’t have killed Lennie because he has a mental disability he can get help in some way. George should have explained to Lennie that he is stronger than he thinks. He needs to realize that when he comes in physical contact with other

Many people have wondered should George have shot Lennie? While I am upset that he shot Lennie, after thinking for awhile I think that he made the right decision. One reason that I think this is because if they tried to run away together they would have eventually been caught. Partly due to the fact that they are dealing with a murder more people will be looking for them and they didn’t get a very big head start. If they did escape though they would be looking over their shoulder and lived a unhappy fearful life.…

After Lennie killed Curley's wife, the other guys had their mind set on killing Lennie for what he had done, but George decided he should do it himself so it wouldn't hurt him as bad as knowing that he let other people do barely know Lennie, do it. Even though George knew he was better off without Lennie in his life he's even told Lennie “I could be living so good without you getting me in trouble and outta a job” (Steinbeck). Honestly George knows he’d be better off in his life without Lennie, but he doesn't want to leave Lennie because he knows he would be alone and put in place for the mentally impaired people. Although, George wants to keep one job and possible get a wife and have some children, but he can't do that because of Lennie and his way of not being able to keep a job.…

George made the right decision by shooting Lennie Because. George did not want Lennie to suffer for what curly had in store for him so think of Lennie death as a mercy kill fast and less suffering also if George wouldn't have shot Lennie he could get tortured in many different ways. But most people say that George and Lennie should have run away instead of killing Lennie. My first reason that George should have taken Lennie life is that first of all. If Lennie had tried to escape with George both of the men would be considered wanted so it would be hard to have any type of job or place to live because their reputation would be murderers, But George thought that running away would be a bad idea so he did not want Lennie to deal with all this so he took his life.…

True friends should stick together no matter the circumstances. This especially applies to situations where are each other’s only family. If two friends have a relationship that is this immensely close, they should never betray one another. This means that no companion should ever cut the other’sskfjdlsk life short. Although George taking Lennie’s life away with a nonviolent method was for sure better than if it was taken cruelly and painfully by another man in John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men,” the novel could have not resulted in a death that would haunt Lennie’s friend/killer forever.…

Imagine it like this Lennie is an animal, he’s getting sick and ill and too old there wasn’t a reason to let him suffer. What if George did tell him to leave, go find a cave and disappear?
