Take one look into the educational world and one would be exposed to multiple theories, methods and ideologies claiming to be the best for the student. There are a magnitude of ideas on how to create the perfect classroom, but how do you decide what is truly the best for the students? With changing trends in the education world, there are always new claims expressing the newly discovered method is the perfect and ideal way to teach the children. Many theorists declare their methods are the best for the students, but more often then not, they are not perfect for all students. While the many ideas may be ideal classrooms for some, it is the teacher who must form her own method for her classroom to be the most successful. There is not one perfect answer to how to create the ideal classroom, and teachers must understand this before they can discover how to create their own ideal classroom. To ensure a proper learning environment, the teacher must first look at how she is teaching. It is essential that teachers understand that what teachers teach is just as important as how they teach (Parkay, Anctil & Hass, 2010). Curriculum and instruction are both two critical aspects to education, and these two elements of teaching rely on one another and influence each other. Before the teacher is even able to start discovering how she is going to teach, she must understand this key role that curriculum and instruction play in a classroom (Parkay, Anctil & Hass, 2010).
