Discuss the subjects in which you excel or have excelled. To what factors do you attribute your success?

Throughout the course of my high school career, math and science have always been my strong points. Even through middle school I was considered advanced for my grade. I have enjoyed these subjects the most as opposed to reading and writing. Of course, I’m not saying that these subjects don’t have their difficult times, I’m merely pointing out that these courses have always seemed to flow generally smooth with my academic career. My excellent teachers and the way they teach, along with my loving parents, are a couple of factors in which I would attribute to my success as a student. Every high school student at some point in their school life has experienced a bad teacher. Depending on the school, many students even drop out because of the teacher or how the teacher runs the classroom. Teacher student relationships are a key factor in a student’s success. If it wasn’t for the friendship and kindness of my teachers, I definitely wouldn’t have enjoyed and done as well as I did in math class. Because I

My parents have always had a huge role in my schooling and the way I live my life. Ever since middle school they have always stressed how important school was. It wasn’t up until high school that I really knew what they meant. The teachings of my parents and the constant reminders to stay on top of homework are ways in which they have contributed to my academic success. Because they taught me at a young age to always do my homework right away, it has resulted in my school work being turned in on time. If it wasn’t for my parents nagging attitude, my homework would always be late and I never would have the motivation to learn on my own. Ultimately, my parents are a huge factor in the academic success I have had throughout my entire school

My parents made sure that I was going to some of the better schools growing up. All three of the schools that I went to had teachers that pushed me past my limits to help me grow and when a teacher actually cares about their students it really helps them know the value of an education. I had to make sure that all of my homework was done before I go outside and play with friends or play any video games. Although at the time I hated my parents for doing this I later realized how important that was. It taught me to have a good habit of doing my homework as soon as I got it.…

"You have to learn to motivate yourself. ", she said staring boldly into my eyes. Teachers, well they made it even easier because I could call on them last second in the semester and they would come ready to help me tackle whatever task it was that I needed to get done. From my parents’ relationship, to my friendships and teachers I created terrible habits and more so a terrible attitude. I was never grateful for their help and positive attitudes when I without a doubt should’ve been. I began losing “friends” because I was so selfish and only wanted them to help with my school work. All of this occurred because I wasn’t sure how to handle my emotions.…

One day she came up with a bright idea and told her students, “You were chosen to be in my class because I am the best teacher and you are the best students.” Pierson, who came from a background of parents who were educators, knew how to inspire and inject enthusiasm, and, most importantly, try to build a relationship with her students. It was not easy; some of these kids were frequently absent and had negative attitudes, but it just took one action to make a reaction. If instead of cheating, Lewis had decided to use his capabilities to encourage his students to work on their grades, now he would be a hero instead of a cheater, and not only for his current students but also for the incoming generation as well. Furthermore, an action like that would be building confidence with high self-esteem in each individual. What they acquired for sure would continue to pass down and emphasize the importance of…

Uncompassionate, hateful, caring, encouraging, and a large variety of others. While I did have some very nice teachers like Connie Heerman, I also had teachers who couldn’t care less about their job. I have had teachers give a powerpoint, have us take notes, and basically leave it at that. Expecting us as students to be engaged with such little effort from the teacher is not sensible. It is very important to have it set in your heart to help your students prosper otherwise you will most likely end up with students who do not have the motivation to…
