Honors Society to me is a way to give back to the community, to show that I care. To show that I am able to make a difference, whether it be helping set up a carnival for the students of Sunrise Elementary, or providing a meal for a person in need.
2. Describe three leadership qualities you possess.
I am committed to everything I do, I never do any task delegated to me hastily or without care. Being committed means to be wholeheartedly dedicated, and I have been in National Honors Society since seventh grade. Continuously volunteering is what I do, I am not one of the people who stop after meeting a requirement, the point of NHS is to help others and I feel that sometimes individuals miss that memo. I am also very passionate about volunteering. While others may see it as work, I thoroughly enjoy helping other people, I thrive on it, it gives me a purpose. I give back to the city of Redmond by helping out at a soup kitchen monthly. Another community that I try to give back to is the Girl Scout community, I have been a Girl Scout for 9 years and have been to many camps. At the camps I went to, I learned valuable lessons and life skills. Wanting to pass on these skills, I became a camp counselor at the camp in order to give the girls the same great experience I had. The last community I would like to describe is Woodinville High School and the Northshore School District as a whole. I genuinely enjoy going to school almost every day, and to show others that school can be fun for them as well, I joined ASB to represent the sophomore class of 2019. Representing the sophomore’s takes a lot of hard work and dedication, and once again I do this in hope to express how much I revel in being able to help others and to make the people around me
