Calling people without answering them On this nonverbal breaking rule paper, I am gonna talk about how I calling people without answering or talking to them. The social level rule I chose to break is related to patient and be polite. We should not be hanging up someone phones instantly or swearing while the caller is not talking. I choose this rule because I want to find out if my friends are easy to control their temper while reaching a harassment call. I hope to learn that people will give caller enough time to explain something and nobody knows if a person is calling for emergency or not.
I am planning to give my friends a call and without answering them. I am decided to give a call on the morning and the evening and see the differences. For the one who answer my call, they were mostly acting normal at the first few second and they saying “Hello” and “What’s up.” But after 10 seconds, they being to start impatient. In 20 seconds, their impatience being in the next level, they started repeat “Hello” with multiples times. In the next 30 seconds, people were starting to hang up the phone. In this point, nobody were hang up the phone instantly or swearing. In the evening, most of my friends and classmates are answered my phone. Their reaction were stay the same compare to the morning. But on this time, some people started to swear and hang up my phone early, around 15 seconds. I think this is because they probably knew it is a prank. There also had one of the single case that a girl kept her phone on hold for 5 minute. In the end, the one who hang up the phone was me because I can’t continue. Later on, I found out that she was putting her face-mask on. Overall, it was a fun experiment to
