We do this in order to increase the population of residents within each generation in the Islands whom are efficient, skillful, and experienced swimmers. In order to fulfill this goal, our organization first and foremost step is to promote and advocate the incorporation of swimming programs in the Physical Education programs in every schools within the state Hawaii. The next step is to raise popularity in to community within the tourists, to do this, we plan to spread useful and educational information in an entertaining way, mostly in the popular tourist destinations. To accomplish this task, one of our targeted destination is Sea Life Park and we contacted them, and after a few meetings and interactions, hey agreed to work with us. Sea Life Park offers anyone a part of our organization a free educational tour of the park. This way, we'll be able to attract more people using the animals provided by the park. Doing so, we are not only educating them about water safety, we are also educating them about ways that we can help preserve our ever so endangered aquatic creatures. We are financed mostly through donations, but it depends on the event. Because most of our work is directly involved in schools, we are financed mostly by the school funding. The psychotic beast may not always be in the cage, but instead in front looking in. SeaWorld, a popular marine amusement park and research center, has been housing along with showing captive Orca whales for over 40 years; thus, making them one of the parks biggest attractions and bringing in a substantial portion of SeaWorld's profits. The dramatic over sensationalized reveal of the conditions of SeaWorld's Orcas was brought to light within the movie Blackfish, by Gabriella Cowperthwaite, and caused biased allegations to develop within the minds of the public. The prevailing attempts by SeaWorld to improve the condition of the Orca's lifestyles after Blackfish's unmasking continues to be inadequate.…

Through the use of imagery portrayed by the grisly events that occur in these amusement parks, the juxtaposition present in the sequence of the scenes, and the points of view depicting the documentary, it is demonstrated that marine amusement parks, specifically SeaWorld, are incapable of taking care and protecting their animals and other humans, and, thus, should not hold these animals captive. Firstly, imagery is used to paint an image in the viewer’s mind of the grisly events that occurred in these parks. For instance, the death of Dawn Brancheau, a trainer, was not shown but rather described in a gruesome manner so that the viewers could visualize the atrocity for themselves and wonder how a human could have ever been expected to swim side by side with such an enormous and unpredictable animal. The scene was described by a paramedic and the words were shown in typewriter font on a black screen so that the viewers could both read and listen to his account.…

Killer whales and dolphins jumped above the water and performed many difficult tricks their trainers commanded. Like many people, I have shared many great experiences with family and friends at marine parks. Aside from the really expensive food, these parks appear to have nothing wrong with them. However, people have yet to see beyond the stage and question how they get these large animals in the park. For over half a decade, marine parks have…

The parallels of the creation stories of the Hawaiian’s and that of Hinduism is too evident to not compare. While the stories have many variances, the context and effect in their particular region is almost identical. Both stories tell of a time where emptiness and unknowns were the norm, however the stories of Kumulipo and Purushasukta parallel in the creation of the world as we know it through a specific event whether it be the sacrifice of the ultimate being or a night of creation. The parallelism of the creation stories is not a mere act of coincidence, as we would later discuss of the parallels of Zoroastrianism and Christianity with both having a constant battle of good and evil.…

3.3.1 Barriers and Enhancers towards Swimming The barriers towards swimming at FLSHS are that most students don’t enjoy the sport mostly because they haven’t done it before as the school only provides a swimming carnival once every year which only a low percentage attends, there are classes that provide swimming to HPE extension students and years 11-12 only and some students suffer from paranoia about their body image. However some ways to enhance the attendance to swimming carnivals are to provide swimming lessons to core 10 HPE classes so they can experience how enjoyable, healthy and social the sport is. Another enhancer; while the students have a swimming class, is to separate the students who know how to swim and the students who don’t know how to swim, so that the students who don’t know how to swim, don’t feel embarrassed and intimidated by the students who do know how to…

Why a Written Communication Policy? Communication is essential for any organization to be successful, especially in education (National School Public Relations Association, 2006). The flow of communication between the school superintendent, local school board, teachers, students, parents and community, must be transparent with written policies in place that are accessible (National School Public Relations Association, 2006). A school communications policy should be carefully written with direction on the purposes, plans and objectives how the school will communicate with each of the stakeholders (Moore, 2012).…
