A leader is someone that is willing to push forward no matter how hard it may look, but at the same time never leaving a man behind. The slave abolitionists leaders were truly leaders because they saw a problem that was going on you hundreds of years and they did the best they could of completing it knowing it was dangerous, knowing that not only themselves but their acquaintances also could get in serious trouble. Harriet Tubman has escaped slavery but knowing that she had left people behind made her turn around and show others the feeling of freedom. She made many trips so she could show slaves that they didn’t have to be a slave all their life. She showed them the way and they depended on her not to get them caught and to lead them safely to freedom. She showed what it meant to be hero. These heroes didn’t have any special powers like we see today. No heat vision or invisibility but they were heroes in their heart. Someone who is willing to make a change to make the world a better place. But there is something in common between comic book heroes and slave abolitionist heroes. Super heroes usually all have a different power and slave abolitionists each did their part to make America as we know it
