Essay On Gospel Essentials

Benchmark Assignments: Gospel Essentials It can be said that the worldview I live by is a Christians Worldview. God has been a very important part of my life from my upbringing as a child to me being an adult and raising my own family. There are worldviews that don’t even believe in God or have different beliefs in a God of their own understanding. In this paper I will talk about who God is, how humanity played a part, who is Jesus, and restoring everything back to God. God is good. God is trinity, one God he is the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. Everything that God stands for is love. God is omnipotent. According to Hiles and Smith (2014) “Some attributes distinctly belong to God. Some of these attributes would be that he is unchanging, …show more content…
God created us to have a relationship with him to worship and to obey him. When we were created we held some of the same attributes of God. He created us for the good, to love, and to be faithful to him. God gave us free will to make our own choices and decisions. The purpose of humans was to serve God because he was the creator of all. In my eyes God has a purpose for all mankind. “In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to praise of his glory.”(Ephesians 1:11-12 ESV) I think the core root of human problem started with the fall of man. We have to remember in the beginning everything was of good and there was no evil in the world. God had gave Adam and Eve everything they could want. He made them caretakers of the Garden of Eden. The only thing God had asked of Adam and Eve was not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil or you shall die. The serpent had manipulated Eve into disobeying Gods one rule. The serpent told Eve to eat the fruit that she and Adam could be as Gods themselves, to know good and evil and surely would not die. By eating from the tree the serpent knew that God would not be pleased and this would destroy or disconnect the relationship God had with …show more content…
Jesus was a great teacher who came into the world to preach and teach the gospel of Christ. Jesus was of flesh and was sent to do Gods work to help humanity rebuild a relationship with God. Jesus understood who he was and what he was and what he was called to do. He knew man had separated and was sinful. Jesus died on the cross for the remission of our sins. According to Hiles and Smith (2014) “Jesus’ life and death is the love of God, because Jesus’ identity is the eternal identity of the Father’s beloved Son.”(para. 36 ch.5) In order to rebuild a relationship with God we had to work through Jesus Christ. Jesus work was so significant for the Christian worldview because Jesus was humanities only hope for redemption. “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one come to the Father except through me.”(John 14:6 ESV) The resurrection of Jesus helped restore humanities relationship with

“To fulfill our destiny, we have to have a story.” (Eldredge p. 11) God gave us the essential tools to develop a story that follows the path God made us for. We are created in God’s image and likeness. Being created in his image is a blessing. He created us to be good and do good by evangelizing. Having the “image” or “likeness” of God means that we were made to resemble God.…

    The Gospel In The Bible

The Bible explains Christ as being God in John 1:1-4 and 14, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... All things were made through him... In him was life... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth” (ESV). Jesus taught the world how God intended humanity to live – in a loving relationship with God (John 17:20-26) – and He sacrificed Himself to provide a way for man to enjoy that relationship with God (2 Corinthians 5:21). This is significant for the Christian worldview because if Christ was not God, or did not sacrificially die and rise again, then the relationship between God and man would not be…

They had faith in the salvation they knew was coming we have faith in the salvation we know has already come and we have the privilege to “make disciples of all nations” (ESV. Matthew 28.19). This privilege to share the hope of God’s kingdom is not to be taken lightly as something to do only when we feel like it but we must be diligent as “the Spirit’s great concern is to lead people to Christ” (Roberts 136). The final stage of the kingdom is the culmination of all of God’s promises throughout human history and the ultimate fulfillment of his prophesies. In the perfected kingdom, there will be a New Heaven and a New Earth where God’s people will live and rule with…

Without those personal experiences, I wouldn’t have a story, but the important part is not only the story but the testimonies of my many victories through Christ. Now I can boast of God as father, God as a healer, His sovereignty and goodness. I now live my life created from a statement that neurosurgeon Dr. Leaf said in her book, Who Switched Off My Brain. She said, “God has given each individual gift but our gifts aren’t a talent or a skill like singing, dancing, preaching, acting, and anything else that we do well, that is a manifestation of a gift.…

We know who God is and this can be seen in His ministry. God is the one who started the ministry, He knew it would all happen even before the world came to be. The Old Testament recorded prophecies given to man through the will of God, spoken by the prophet to shine the lights on human understanding and future (2 Peter 1:21). Because the Lord loves man, he created man to have a relationship with him. He spoke to the heroes of the Old Testament, and reveal himself to them. God is sovereign, he rules and govern over mankind, and he is the King who cares for his people deeply. Psalms presented God’s preservation on all creation in nature, from the plants and animals, to human.…

God was not caught off guard when Adam and Eve sinned. He is all-knowing, and He had a plan in place to save them and all of humanity from their sin. God’s promised plan has always included Jesus. The Gospel, while it is the story of Christ, it really is the story of the Bible as a whole. The Old Testament paves the way for Jesus to come and fulfill what has been promised from the…
