14. How long have you been doing glass blowing? She said she has been in the studio for seven years already. In total, she has been glassblowing for 11 years, which four years were spent on classes. She always knew she wanted to do art, after a year of college and she went ahead and got herself a studio. She then spent the last three years of schooling to remodel it all from the inside and out, build all the equipment in the course of three years. She then open up a month later and has been there ever since. She started planning very early as she admitted that once she made up her mind, it was art that she wanted to do. She also brought up the fact that her personality prefers her to be by herself and in control of everything. She also brings up the fact that customers have questions and if you are not knowable of glassblowing, you will not be able to help answer those questions. So she has yet to find someone with the knowledge and experience to help her. Although, she does work by herself she does bring her in mom to help from time to time.
16. For getting yourself out there have you ever considered using twitch?
She said she has not. Reason why is because if it was in the beginning stages, she would have considered it, but as of right now she is just so busy that she really does not advertise anymore and she strictly uses facebook. She not only uses Facebook but she also uses Youtube and Etsy. She did that and before she got a lot of traffic to her store, she is just so busy now that she does not really advertise anymore as she has people coming to her. I also brought up the fact that I see this on twitch, she says, “definitely, anything to get your name out there.” She says there are virtually free websites that can help you bring your name out there, free or for a small fee. But it's worth it, she herself used to do blog posts and google images and anything like that to “get their ranking up there for people to see that’s differently important to get or name out there is the most important
