I am very passion about youth. as we all aware of youth becoming gang is real problem in our youth and it would be a threat to our peaceful community. No one is immune gang’s crime. In this paper I would explore and identify how young people become a members of gang and the impact it has on them later in life. I will also offer some potential solution to the problems of youth becoming Ganga and engaging criminal activities. I believe we as community can protect our youth from potential gang’s recruitments by providing them safe environment. They recruit and socialize with youth through their environments. They offered them protection and presented themselves as group of choice like other groups in the society. They usually target adolescents those who have identity crisis and those who came from low-income family. Also they attract to those who have low self-esteem. Theory of deviant indicates that youth with low self-esteem tend to gain approval through gang relationship that which leads them to delinquency. The problem is that these youth don’t have any alternative source to cope with their stress. Failure in good parenting, low school commitment, poor relationship between community and law enforcement and presence of neighborhood gang activity predicted youth gang affiliation. Also the studies done on youth affiliation, indicates most factors that predicts youth violence are similar to those that gang membership. Basically when young people dealing with their own problems and they don’t get the right attention and guidance, they will look it for another way to deal with the problems and unfortunately gang membership become the choice to their solution. They don’t see it coming anywhere
