Should Fidget Spinners Be Allowed or Not Allowed In School

If fidget spinners are supposed to help with concentration why are they being taken out of class? Fidget spinners should not be allowed in school due to being a distraction. Fidget spinners should not be allowed in school due to causing distractions, being hazardous, and causing conflicts. Fidget spinner should not be allowed in school because according to The Washington Post “Schools are banning fidget spinners, calling them nuisances and even dangerous” states “These items are being taken out of class causing a distraction to student and staff.” The fidget spinners have caused many distractions like kids being more focused on the speed, and spinning noise of the fidget spinners instead of focusing on the teacher or the work provided to do. Fidget spinners are like monkey see monkey do, by this I mean once one kid has a fidget spinner everyone around them wants to see it, pay attention to the fidget spinner, or get one for themselves to play with in class.

Conflicts have begun to arrive because according to The Washington Post “Schools are banning fidget spinners, calling them nuisances and even dangerous” they mentioned “They are also being thrown around during transitions in the hallway to and from class and in the cafeteria and at recess.”This is mentioning how fidget spinners have become hazardous because a fidget spinner could be flying across the room, halls etc. and the hit someone in the face causing injuries.
