Fetal heart formation is when a fetus’s heart is undergoing development while the mother is pregnant. The heart is just growing. It cannot do all the things that adult hearts can do, yet. The baby is not breathing in the womb. A baby’s heart will usually start pumping about six weeks into the development stages. The baby’s heart is not pumping as much blood as an adult heart is. Babies have a much faster heart rate than adults because they are so small. As you get older, your heart rate will slow down.
