Farah Ahmedi, really wanted to leave Afghanistan and get over the Pakistan border. Just like Cap and Spitz, she was extremely determined on whatever mission they undertook. Farah and her mother wanted to leave Afghanistan for a better life, and to do so they had to leave soon, so they had a place to stay. According to the passage, ”I felt desperate to get through, because the sun was setting, and if we got stuck here, what were we going to do? Where would we stay?” (Ahmedi 1). This simply proves that being stuck there wasn’t fun, it was dangerous, and Farah didn’t feel like staying the night on a dirty ground. Soon, though Farah and her mom met a few nice people who promised to help Farah and her mom leave Afghanistan. His mission was to stay top dog, but while he was trying to remain the leader he died. “On the other hand, possibly because he divined in Buck a dangerous rival, Spitz never lost an opportunity of showing his teeth” (London, 44). This shows us that he had a met his match, and was willing to “show teeth” to stay in his place. Spitz died to remain leader, but before he did he put up a good fight to remain at the top. “Spitz was equally willing. He was crying with sheer rage and eagerness” (London, 45).
