In looking at Indonesia and Ecuador we see that those national minimum wages do not meet a good financial standard of living. We also must take note that in the raising of minimum wage in those countries unemployment also rises. A lack of enforcement in minimum wage laws permit a less amount of money to be paid to the individual. This can be simply defined as a matter of survival for that individual. With a higher population then jobs available, there will be a constant gap in unemployment.
