When it’s time to choose what high school to go to, there are many different options such as a Career school or a normal public school. Even though they teach the same curriculum, the experiences at each school might be different than expected. Although they bear minor similarities, the differences between Dubiski Career High School and a public school are diverse. Such as the way students dress every day, playing sports, and the different pathways based on your career set the two schools apart.

Dubiski offers thirteen different pathways and the incoming students are allowed to choose what pathway they want based on what they want to pursue as a career. In these pathways, the teachers help them get ready for their future career such as being exposed to college material in class. These pathways allow students to graduate with a license or certifications and also get the opportunity to have an internship such as the health science pathway at Baylor Hospital in Irving. At a normal high school, the kids wouldn’t be exposed to any of this. They would live the normal high school life, such as playing sports and learning the same curriculum without the hands on experience. Although some high schools have classes on careers, they are not as specific as Dubiski has them.
In conclusion, a Career High School and a public high school are two diverse high school experiences. Such as different dress codes, being able to participate in sports and having hands on experience within the pathways are some of the three main points that set apart the schools. Even though the Career school doesn’t have homecoming or football games, being able to attend this school allows the young adults one step closer to their future
