and whenI mean strictly enforcing im talking about sending students back home to change . making students wait in the front office until one of their parents are able to bring them a “ appropriate “ piece of attire, making students go to iss – also know as in school suspension .. Come on now that really ridiculous . According to huffingtonpost.com Earlier this year a young teen by the name Stephanie Dunn was sent to the principals office on the first day of school merely for the fact that her outfit was seen as “inappropriate “ This young girl was wearing a cardiagan with a spagehittie strap and simply a pair of jeans paired with a simple round necklace . She and many other female students were in the front office for dress code violations. What was seen wrong with Stephanie outfit – the mere fact that her COLLARBONE was showing . A collarbone is s a long bone that serves as a struts b/w the shoulder blade and the breastbone. Parents were being called away from their important jobs and students were missing important class time because they are showing their collarbones! How can that truly distract someone ???Something needs to change. receiving a phone call from the school about Stephanie's dress code violation, mom brought her daughter a scarf to wear.. send a girl back to her house/home because of a violation in dress code rules or her clothing is, body hiding id more important tah educatopn making sure boys have a distractionvvjfree learning center is the priority. telling her that’s boy education is more important than the girls education , whisch is sad and, if I’m not mistaken, takes away the purpose of a school. Now Idnm not saying we take away all dress cosde rules causen some clothes are definitely not scfwhool appropriate nope not really These clothes pieces are and should not be seen in school okay. All I’m proposing is that we quit being so

There are many differences in school dress codes, for examples in our school, Sunset Ridge Middle School who has 12 different rules, the major being that we are not allowed to wear any articles of clothing that are mutilated, cut-off, or immodest. Stapley Junior High in Mesa, Arizona who only has six rules, are allowed to wear any article of clothing that do not show any straps, see through, or do not cover the entire back. Schools in different states have different dress code rules along with having teachers and administrators who have different interpretations of how they should be. Therefore, we do not know what dress code is the best or most correct for students and should allow the student to have their own decision in what they…

While i do not agree with it I know there must be basic ones put in place such as wearing shoes, no matter what type, and wearing clothes. It is not the job of the school board to raise a child and teach them morals. That Is the job of the parent, and if the parent allowed their child to leave the house dressed like that they should be able to attend accordingly. The only time I believe the school board to intervene with how a student is dressing is when a parent asks for help. Without the school dress code, rape culture would decrease because it would make female students more empowered, and would teach the young man that rape is not okay…

Everyone has their own opinion on what attire is appropriate for school; some people may feel that some of the clothes that the girls wear is “too much”, but what exactly is too much? A majority would say that revealing shoulders and bra straps are inappropriate, but others would think differently. While some of the clothes people wear shouldn’t be worn in a learning environment, society shouldn’t be biased and make a fair dress code for both male and female students because it can make female women students ashamed of their bodies, which is degrading and makes them out to be sexual objects. With male students having the privilege to wear almost whatever they want, it makes females feel like they should cover up their bodies due to the fact that their bodies can distract boys from getting an education.(Since a females education isn’t as important). There has been many incidents where a female student would be taken out of class or sent home because her shoulders were showing or was wearing shorts on a hot day.…
