With both of these sides of the argument, I tend to go with Patel’s claim more because it is very true, America has improved so much over time. This may be true but then again the blame is on citizens and the founders of that academy.
Overall, America is very diverse. Many people assume America is not diverse but in reality it is. The citizens make up a country, the citizen of America can be welcoming to different races and cultures but unfortunately some aren't. Almost all Americans are of foreign descent except for the Native American Indians. This is a big problem the world faces other than just America. In a positive view America has improved so much over time with differences with one another. No matter where you go there will always be people who don't accept certain things/ beliefs. Living in 2015 it still shocks me how some people are so stubborn and think the world should be divided and not together as one whole. If everyone was together the world could be so much better. Everybody in planet earth needs to be more open minded to new ideas and new ways of thinking especially when 2015 is very improved in all aspects of life. My point is everyone should come together as one. We might look different, believe in different things, and think a certain way but truthfully we all need each other to form a successful
