The definition of fear is an emotion caused by anxiety or the uneasiness of being afraid of something or someone. An example of fear is the feeling felt in a haunted house. Fear is something that will always haunt the back of our minds, constantly taunting and bringing down everything in its way. Now imagine that feeling in human form. Fear, is the final resident of the deserted island. And Fear itself has more than 2 major reasons on why no one would want him on a deserted island with them. For one, he is the emotion fear itself. The feeling we all feel when we see our greatest fear. Fear has only ever brought people down, backing them into a corner. And that is exactly what Fear tried doing in “The Rifles of The Regiment”. His entire purpose is to make everyone feel at unease and give up, which he had done to Colonel Heathergall in his darkest moments. Fear had tried at every cost into worming his way into Colonel Heathergall, trying to make him quit his job and surrender. Being stranded on a deserted island is already terrifying enough, but having Fear there just adds on to the distress. The second reason would be the that that he would always bring you down. Trying to bring your fears into everything you do, making it literally impossible to do anything. Sarah because of her undeniable selfishness and her being two faced, Barrett because of his uncontrollable anger and being instinctive, and Fear for bringing the emotion fear into everything and anyone, and bringing everyone down in its wake.
