Another career that can be studied related to dental hygiene is becoming an actual dental. The only differences is that dentist often perform surgeries on patients such as fillings, removing teeth, extractions, root canal treatments, and specialized surgery. The things that makes the surgery interesting is that dental hygienist actually work with the dentist in the surgery and sometimes give them the guidance throughout the process. So therefore at times you will work with a hygienist and dentist all in the same process.
When being a dental hygienist you must keep everything clean and sanitary at all times for the patients and everyone else around in the workplace. Dental hygienist must make sure that they wash their hands frequently throughout the day. Making sure that dental hygienist wear protective equipment is another big responsibility. Keeping their mouth and nose covered is very important so that germs don't spread everywhere and cause big problems. Also making sure any other employees or work members don't come to work sick because that can cause problems
