Did you know that maintaining dental hygiene can avoid bad breath, to also avoid pain, and to keep a person's teeth looking good? The career of a dental hygienist is a great career, because it teaches how to care for oral health and it has a big impact on people because it helps keeping a clean and healthy mouth.One might decide to become a dental hygienist when going to a dental office about their teeth needing to be clean the dentist could show things they have to do everyday in the workplace. A dental hygienist is a person that mostly cleans teeth. Not only do they just clean teeth, but they also examine patients for signs and symptoms of oral diseases and provide dental care that's preventative. Another career that can be studied related to dental hygiene is becoming an actual dental. The only differences is that dentist often perform surgeries on patients such as fillings, removing teeth, extractions, root canal treatments, and specialized surgery. The things that makes the surgery interesting is that dental hygienist actually work with the dentist in the surgery and sometimes give them the guidance throughout the process. So therefore at times you will work with a hygienist and dentist all in the same process.
When being a dental hygienist you must keep everything clean and sanitary at all times for the patients and everyone else around in the workplace. Dental hygienist must make sure that they wash their hands frequently throughout the day. Making sure that dental hygienist wear protective equipment is another big responsibility. Keeping their mouth and nose covered is very important so that germs don't spread everywhere and cause big problems. Also making sure any other employees or work members don't come to work sick because that can cause problems
