What do you think about when you think of North Korea? There are many things that can go through your head when trying to define a country. The traditions, customs, religion, the food, and the language plays major factors of that definition of a country. Culture is the behaviors and beliefs that make up the characteristics of a particular group of people or in this case, a country. This essay will cover a lot that goes into the composition of North Korea’s culture. North Korea is located in Southeast Asia, sharing borders with South Korea, China, and Russia. While North Korea is an isolated country with many economic problems. North Korea is to be a major threat to the world as stated in a CIA report, “North Korea 's history of regional military provocations; proliferation of military-related items; long-range missile development; WMD programs including tests of nuclear devices in 2006, 2009, and 2013; and massive conventional armed forces are of major concern to the international community.” (Unknown, The World Factbook, 2015) The United States and the rest of the world seems to stay curious about North Korea and their secret capabilities. It is hard to understand a country and their culture if that country refuses to share and relate to the rest of the world. Until North Korea opens up and shares its culture to the world, we shall never know. You cannot believe what a dictator leader tells the world about its country, the only way to find out is to talk to and observe from the people
