Not only does it tell a story, it also gives a description and a strong mental picture of how poorly these animals are treated; a mental picture to keep in a person’s mind in hopes they’ll support different testing methods. According to Leo Widrich, who wrote “The Science of Storytelling: Why telling a Story is the Most Powerful Way to Activate Our Brains), if a story is split down into a simpler form, it’s a connection of cause and effect. This relates to animal testing because it illustrates a picture; if we do these dangerous tests on animals, then they die or become extremely and terminally ill. Widrich also states that when we hear a story, we want to be able to relate it into our own lives. I can relate the animal testing and personal experiences to my own life because of my brother. Allow different causes, my brother was misdiagnosed, and it led to different types of testing to see what would work for him and his condition, numerous random tests/treatments, and the way they mistreated his heart issues, lead to his death; just like with the animals, they did tests that they wanted to do, rather than tests that are necessary, and it causes (has caused) death of the animals being tested
