Concussions are and can be a serious thing. They have become a great problem in the sports world. They can show themselves in many ways. Some can be very small you won’t even know that it's there, but some can be so bad that they are fatal. Some would disagree because there are so many sports that involve concussions. Football is the number one because of the obvious tackling. USA Football is trying to come up with a different and safer design for football helmets because of the number of concussions that are happening. Although they wear lots of pads and protections they still have their weaknesses. Research to make Hockey safer would be great because that sport is very dangerous. With all of these sports, one thing that could help tremendously with little leagues is the coaches were trained what to look for with concussions and how to treat and try to prevent them. The thing about that though is a good athlete is going to be violent and aggressive, they won't let things in front of that, so it should be important to know what is at stake for …show more content…
Some people believe that if they change some of the sports to extensive levels these sports will become unpopular but the question is: Would you rather have people be safe and disinterested, or people be vulnerable to serious head injury and have millions watching at home? Many people could be juggling this idea in their head and it does depend on whose perspective it is coming from. There are many people playing these sports from ages 5-50 so you could have a five-year-old kid playing these dangerous sports with an undeveloped brain at risk of a head injury and a fifty-year-old at risk of these head injuries because of these sports. Thinking about ways to prevent these injuries would be great but then again, people are going to do what they love to do, and they are going to be passionate about it and if that means that they will put everything at risk they will do
