I view this ability to switch use of language as strength for when he is older that he is aware to separate professionalism from hanging with friends. Walking through this neighborhood I felt angry, happy, and sad. I felt happy because I realized how blessed and fortunate I am and have been growing up. I go home every day to see very limited trash on the street, no noise, no drugs (that are visible), and a feeling of being safe. I felt sad; mostly due to empathy for people is this neighborhood. Empathy to the lack of knowledge some people in this community possess about resources available to them. According to DC Public Schools website the 5th ward budget allocation was $61.4 million dollars for the year of 2016. All the other wards of the 8 wards in DC break-down as follows (in millions): Ward 1- $69.8; Ward 2-$36.6; Ward 3- $67.2; Ward 4- $92.7; Ward 6- $88.6; Ward 7-$75.0; Ward 8- $98.2 (http://dcps.dc.gov/).
