Essay On College Major

Today about 58,000 students who went to college are now homeless and you might wonder how this is happening. The number is only increasing in the amount of students who are going to college and coming out homeless. The biggest reason for this is because the teens who graduated high school did not pick the right college major. Teenagers shouldn’t be forced to pick a college major at 18, because they still aren’t experienced enough, have too much pressure, and they shouldn’t be making life long decisions at such a young age. Teenagers are not experienced enough to pick a major at 18 this is just too young of an age for the teen to be ready. College is a whole new experience for kids after high school so they have to look at a lot of different things and it is a new environment. The number is only increasing and that means if you do not go to college knowing what you are gonna do this could happen. This graph helps to show that the college program that could to be incorporated would help for this not to happen. If there was a class that helped you pick a major you would be able to know what is best for you and be able to work effectively for a good goal for you. This graph also shows the result of picking a major that is not good for you and that could end up possibly making you homeless.
Picking a major is a big life decision and it can change a person’s life very drastically. This means that it could make someone’s life way better or way worse. In an article it states “ most of the time teens aren’t ready for this big of a life changing decision”. This relates because it is talking about teens and life decisions. This shows that this could possibly mess up their life if not given enough time to be able to choose the right career. This also, if not careful could put people into something that they do not
