Upon taking a tour of The University of Central Florida with my high school in my senior year, I was fascinated by the enriched culture of the college campus. As the tour guide proceeded to inform the group of the choices the university had to offer there was no doubt in my mind that the University of Central Florida would become one of my top choices. Furthermore, my purpose for obtaining a college education extends beyond receiving credentials, in the sense that first and foremost my spirit, mind should be enriched and abutment my belief in obtaining a higher education. My purpose for attending the University of Central Florida is to be challenged and gain experience that can help foster my future. I want to obtain a doctorate in pharmacology and after a great deal of research believe that UCF is the best university to attend to do so.

On my trip to the university, I was astounded by the level of diversity within the student body. I appreciate the level of diverseness of the university campus which offers the opportunity to learn new cultures. In the words of Jacqueline Woodson “diversity is about all of us, and about us having to figure out how to walk through this world together”. I have multiple friends from different backgrounds and they all have taught me valuable lessons regarding cultural appreciation. Therefore, being on the UCF campus would allow me to acquire various experiences to learn how to communicate with others who share different values and belief systems. Clubs like the Project S.P.I.T, Writers Uknighted, American Red cross, and Caribbean Student’s Association that the university offers will allow me to meet people from various backgrounds.
