For instance, Classical India had two main religions/philosophies that were Buddhism and Hinduism. These two religions/philosophies had different aspects such as Buddhism was more of a way of life, so it did not worship a god and Hinduism was a religion that worshipped many gods. Along with that, Buddhism did not agree with the caste system in which the Hindus lived by. Besides their differences, both of the religions/philosophies believed in reincarnation, though, defined reincarnation differently. Buddhist believed thought of reincarnation as a person is not the same soul when it returns. Unlike Hinduism that thinks a person’s soul is reborn and they are their divine self. In the Han Dynasty, it includes three main religions/philosophies; Confucianism, Daoism, and Legalism. Both Daoism and Confucianism believe that people are naturally good. However, Legalist think people are not good and need to set laws/have a government to keep them in order. By having more than one religion/philosophy in their civilization, Classical India and the Han Dynasty figured out what worked best for them and allowed their people a choice. Which normally involved combining the religions/philosophies together to create one that worked for their own civilization. Comparable to Classical India that combined Hinduism and Buddhism
