Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez is a story that takes place in the 1950s that demonstrates a variety of cultural aspects that contribute to the scandal of the plot. Each of the characters plays a role and is obliged to take partial responsibility in the death of Santiago Nasar, which may have been prevented if it were to take place in present day.
