Is changing Australia’s flag changing Australia’s identity? I strongly believe that the best and most effective choice for Australia’s future is to keep our current Australian flag. Australia has become a strong, multicultural nation under our current flag, therefore changing our flag wouldn’t necessarily show a better reflection of Australia’s modern identity. Australia’s flag has significance in many events that shaped Australia and is already an internationally known heraldry. Changing the flag will cost the nation greatly in many ways. To ensure a successful future for Australia our flag should remain the same.
If Australia has formed the diverse and powerful nation it is under our current flag, why should we waste 25 million dollars changing it? Instead, we should put this money towards creating a better unity between all of the cultures that Australia is home to and helping those in need.
