She was in love with two men, her husband Victor, and Rick. We find out that she never came to the train station in Paris as her husband Victor escaped from a Nazi Concentration Camp. She meets Rick again at his club who tells him that she still loves him. She tells him she needs the two letters of transit so they can leave Casablanca.
Victor Lazlo was a Czech nationalist who did not agree with Germany taking over Czechoslovakia. As a resistance leader, he would do anything in his power to defeat the Nazi. He a good man who deeply loves Ilsa, as he was willing to sacrifice himself so Ilsa can escape Casablanca.
Captain Louis Renault provides some of the most comic lines in the movie. He represented the Vichy government who was a servant to the German government. He expressed loyality to Major Strasser but it was an act to so they would not suspect him of part of the resistance. He had to follow the commands of Major Strasser by arresting Laszlo and closing Rick's bar to show allegiance.
