California has different types of land including mountains, farmland, deserts, and forests. California has two mountain ranges which are the Sierra Nevada and the Cascade. California’s farmland includes fruits, vegetable, dairy products, and livestock. Most of the dairy products come from California. Northern California forests are occupied with sequoias and redwoods. California is by the Pacific Ocean, so fisherman can catch salmon, swordfish, shrimp, and squid. Grapes are a very important crop because grapes are used to make wine.
In northern California, the climate is cold and snowy. In southern California, the climate is warm year round. The Northern Coastal Range is pleasant but can be wet in winter. To the east of California, the Sierra Nevada Mountains get rain that turns to snow. Central California is dry and warm towards the south of California and temperatures get really hot during summer.

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act means schools are mandatory to enroll children who are homeless and are also new to the school even if the children have no proof of immunization records. This act also means when foster children are transferring to a school, the school must take them even if no immunization records are there. Once homeless children or foster care children are enrolled in the school, it is the schools’ duty or the foster family’s duty to work out a plan to get required immunization shots done. If children are 18 years and younger and depending on the family’s income can get a free exam through the child health and disability prevention
