Essay On Breast Cancer Changed My Life

When I was little, I saw many of my family members die because of a vicious disease called cancer, overtook their bodies. It never occurred to me that my mother would also come in contact with this deadly disease. At that point, I knew something needed to be done, but at that time I was only three years old. I can’t really tell you the story about what I witnessed, because I don’t remember it; but what I can tell you from looking at the videos, photobooks, and my mother’s stories is, God truly had mercy on her sole. She was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, and had to go to chemotherapy and get radiation treatment two times a week. Seeing the videos of her being bald and my father not wanting to go to the treatment center with her, really sickened me. Over the years, as I got older, I turned to God and started praising and thanking him for not taking my mother when I was super young. I didn’t want to be that child that said, “why God; why did you take my mother? I thought children are suppose to have parents to teach them and to support them.” But I’m very glad God kept my mother on this Earth to raise me.

He has directed my life, he has cured my family, and has blessed me to continue on my education. Now it’s time for me to do something for him. Just like he said in Acts 20:35, “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” And with that being said, God has shown me that I must continue to help others. Not just by medical treatment, but by telling people about him and how he saves souls. By doing this I’m certain that Avila’s mission to, prepare their students for responsible lifelong contributions to the global community, will definitely be incorporated in my future career and throughout my

Give examples of how the practice of ministry has affected your experience and understanding of A) God At the core of my understanding of God is a God of love in covenantal relationship with God’s children. Romans 8:38-39 says it well; “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The practice of ministry has only proven to strengthen that belief. I was called early Saturday morning to sit with a family who had just learned of the death of their daughter/granddaughter in a vehicle accident.…

The one verse I will forever live by is Psalm 143:8, “Let the morning bring the word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life”. This verse tells me that I do not need to fear about singing in front people, or fear befriending people, or fear leading others, or fear anything in this world because the moment I gave my heart to God, He continually held onto it with such a delicacy. He knows that I trust and have faith in Him, and likewise, I know He trusts and has faith in me. Many people do not think about God having faith and trust in them, but He does.…
