Brazil’s work culture and labor law
The rich living with class and the poor living with tough labor is general characteristic of the society. However, there is a general characteristic only Brazilians have in common. They do not work more than they need to. People who work hard and stay late at the work only do that because there is extra payments or compensations. These features are from culture, sense of value, and labor law.
Brazil is individualistic society. Rather than indistinct future, they put more effort in today. Becasue of it, working atmosphere is quite free. Also working is inefficient and slow because people priortize their own personal business. It is not hard to see a missing person who supposd to have meeting.
Workers do not have high loyalty and responsibilities to company. Loyalty and responsibilities are coming from the freedom and wage that company provide.

Japanese work culture is based on the love for the company and loyalty. Work is priortized over individual. Working priortize efficiency. Orders are made directly from the boss to subordinates. Having vacation is guaranteed by the law. However, it is hard to ask for the vacation because companies discourage it. Lots of workers are voluntarily give up on their vacation, so they won’t be excluded from the group or never get the promotion.
The reason why Brazil could have this kind of working environment is because there is a strong labor law that supporting worker’s right. Brazilian labor law is known as CLT(Consolidação das Leis Trabalhistas). The main point of this law is to protect the workers. All legal workers in Brazil must have a note called “Labor Note.” It shows where he worked, how long he worked, how he worked, how much he got payed. Even with this advantage for employer, Brazil is still known as “Worker’s heaven,” and “Employer hell.” Labor law is extremely sided to
