Cameras could limit spending in some departments according to Milwaukee mayor Tom Barret, “The estimated cost is about what it would cost to add 12 officers to the department's ranks of 1,800 sworn officers, Barrett told the newspaper”. Limiting spending in that way could better enhance the departments to spend money on the most up to date equipment. The images and videos being presented from dash cams and cell phones aren’t good enough anymore. Whatever action they may have caught on camera is always missing something, whom truly is the victim in the situation. The media is able to depict who it wants the public to view as the bad guy. That information sometimes can be misinterpreted without all of the key information that the body cameras would and could provide for some of Americas most crime populated areas such as Memphis, Chicago, and Detroit just to name a few.
