Identifying biological, psychological and social factors in her health is vital in providing care that is holistic. Mrs. M is getting weaker due to her rheumatoid arthritis. Adjustments to her RA medications may need to be made; a pain assessment can determine the need for analgesics. Given that she lives in an apartment with minimal assistance, Mrs. M (client) may require additional help. A referral to a care-giving agency can be made or a social worker consult can assist with obtaining in home care. Mrs. M must be encouraged to continue use of the community center facilities. Mrs. M benefits from the social interactions and physical activities provided at the community center.
