Notably, I believe that stress has severe consequences on a psychological level, and yoga can help to diminish those psychological consequences. Furthermore, the purpose of this research is to explain to the class that yoga is beneficial to everyday life, and that they should consider the benefits, and start to practice yoga. Consequently, the significance of this project is to emphasize the physical exercise of yoga, and just how it can benefit anyone psychologically. In fact, yoga has been around for thousands of years and first originated in India (Bergland, 2014). Secondly, according to a Harvard University study yoga can help regulate a person’s stress response system by diminishing anxiety and depression (Contributor, 2013). Thirdly, yoga can treat stress- related psychological conditions, which new research has suggested (“The psychological benefits of yoga,” 2012). The main hypothesis of this research project is that the benefits of doing yoga can help reduce everyday problems that people may be suffering from. Moreover, I know that whenever I would have problems, yoga would always help me on a psychological level. The main focus of this project is for the whole class to understand the benefits of yoga, and just how happy it can make someone. Also, another main focus is the fact that I will be experimenting for seven days twenty minutes of yoga, which I am excited about because now I can get back into yoga. I have abandoned yoga because of so much stress that my body has fallen into a depression, but now I can overcome this depression with yoga. I will also be able to conclude my experiment, and make a connection with the resources I have chosen because as I was reading the resources I have chosen I could relate to the benefits that were explained due in part to the fact that at one time I was an avid yoga
