People who have been attacked online handle the situations very differently apart from others. Some may try to handle it on there own and others rather reach out and let someone else be aware of what is going on, so that they may help and they do not have to feel like they are alone. No one really knows what is going on unless they have social media and see what is going on, but adults like parents and teachers do not, just because they may not care to have it. The victim could also be willing to talk to someone they feel comfortable around and trust to make it easier to speak up and say what is going on and how they feel about the situation. Being harassed online can have a huge impact on the person, it can lead to depression and have anxiety

Over time she began to hurt herself, because she had started getting depression and did not know how to handle it. People who were nice to her ended up showing their true colors, even though they were never really friends to begin with, but more like acquaintances. Natalie says “ I couldn’t trust anyone because I found out that some of the people who were nice to her at school had begun to send me abusive messages anonymously online” (Sawer11). Even if Natalie was not really friends with those people, it shows that anyone can change and start saying hurtful things to the victim, just because everyone else is doing it. The bully and whoever else posts things online think that they will not get in trouble for what they say online is wrong. When a victim or whoever else decides to tell someone about the online bully that is taking place they could already have pictures of everything that was ever said about them online and the pictures show who said what, so when they call those people in they cannot deny that they never said it, because they have proof. Even of the bully or others who said something online may have deleted what they said and nobody was able to take screenshots or anything of it there are still ways to get all that information back especially when it comes to bullying others online. Once you put something online there is always a way to find things even after the person has deleted
