Going into the medical field, you have a wide variety of jobs to pick from. The healthcare field is very important. Being that there is many jobs to pick from, one should pick a job that suits them well. A sonographer is someone that specializes in ultrasounds. When you hear the word “ultrasound” babies are usually the first thing that comes to mind. The good thing about sonography is you do not have to give ultrasounds on just babies, there is different branches you can pick from to do ultrasounds on. To be a sonographer you can have an associates degree or a bachelor degree. Many technical colleges offer the two year program for sonography. The salary for a sonographer can range from $45,840 to $92,070, depending on different wages and where you live. If you go to school for two years or four years you will still be making the same salary. The difference in going two and four years is if you go for four years it will give you the opportunity to do ultrasounds on different things and give you a better opportunity to get a job.
