"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." This quote by President John Quincy Adams helps embody my role as a leader. I strive daily to make others feel as though they are strong enough to be able to accomplish their goals. Being a cheerleader, I fulfill a key role in the leadership of my high school. Peer pressure challenges me on a daily basis to make the right choices. The constant battle helps make me the leader that I strive to be.
As a senior in high school, many opportunities present themselves for me to be a leader in the school. Being involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, Varsity Cheer, Ruff Ryders, Varsity Soccer, and was the class Valedictorian helped mold me into the leader I am today. With these roles, I have met numerous achievements that I set for myself. I currently hold the District 4 Vice President of Student Council

During the short weekend, I was overwhelmed by the many leadership development activities available to me and after using them was able to grow stronger as a leader. I was able to bring many of the skills taught to me back to my Student Council. After attending HSLC, I was inspired to become a better leader in my school and in the Student Council. As District 4 Vice President, one of my many roles was to organize the Fall Conference for all of District 4. This included all aspects of organizing the event such as putting together groups of leaders, making sure everything runs smoothly, and designing a t-shirt for the event. The event was a success with an attendance of over 200 people, more than the previous years, as well as numerous accounts of positive feedback. This experience strengthened my leadership abilities.
