Essay On Being A Benevolent Person

Decent Essays
As a young girl, I always admired school and looked forward to attending it. I would bawl my eyes out every time I had to get picked up from my kindergarten class. Never did I fret about going to school until I reached the age of ten. Public school was slowly becoming a hazardous place for me. My confidence collapsed yet my grades continued to ascend. I could never really harmonize with the people I went to school with. As I grew, nothing really changed. Through middle school I struggled socially and would miss class due to having panic attacks during it. No matter what, I put my grades first before anything, which is why I always had a tough time fitting in with my peers. I seemed to take a liking to my teachers, rather than the students. …show more content…
Being a benevolent person is an important characteristic to have especially to create a diverse learning environment. When you are benevolent and caring, it shows how open-minded and open-hearted you are to diversity. Giving is something that makes me feel whole as a person, and I never feel bad for giving. Teens my age usually only volunteer to graduate and get hours, whereas when I volunteer, I do it from my heart instead of just counting hours. I have volunteered at my local food shelter probably 3 or 4 times and I spend a lot of my volunteering with my church. I have a class I help teach every other weekend with children three to seven, and the weeks I’m not doing that I am in the nursery caring for newborns to two year olds. I love teaching and caring for children, because it is the purest form of a human you will ever see. Along with those weekly contributions, I teach Vacation Bible School classes for a week out of the summer with children ages three to seven. Taking care of children is a very hard task, but with a good amount of patience it can become easy. I have a love for teaching, but I will not be pursuing teaching in my future, …show more content…
I am a very go with the flow type of person, so I am happy wherever I land. At this time, I am looking into going to a four year university within my state, and major in something regarding to either science, art, or business. I want to change people, I want to affect people’s lives. I want them to remember me in a way that will make my great-great-great grandchildren know my story. I want to help people overcome things, love themselves and others. I would love to do something in the art area, but I have seen how hard it is to do anything with a BA degree. I would like to create a makeup line after college, but with that said, I need to understand the chemistry of cosmetics. I want to be able to graduate with a 4.0 and show everyone who doubted me that I really could do what I want if I put my heart and my mind into it. I want to show people that your mental health cannot stop you from anything. I want to show people that things eventually get better, and just because you are in a low place right now does not mean that you will never be able to climb out of it. Life is important, and it is not something anyone should take for granted. The National Honor Society would thrive with a student like me in the institution, who loves, cares, and learns with all of their

I'm willing to give up my personal time to take care of Aaron because I feel like if I see anyone needing to help I should to help them in any way I can. It's something inside of me that wakes up and tells me " go help ", " they need your help, go to see what you can do."…
