You love to ride your bike or skateboard. Sometimes your mom tells you to be careful or you might break something, and sometimes you just don’t listen. She takes you to the doctor and he or she says you need to get x-rays done. Someone puts you under a big machine and takes pictures of whatever body part is broken. That person is none other than a radiologist, and their job is filled with many but amazing responsibilities.
A radiologist is a fully licensed physician who specializes in the field of medical imaging. They photograph and interpret medical images to help diagnose and make treatment decisions regarding a patient’s health problems. As a medical student, you spend the first two years completing basic medical and science courses in labs and classrooms.
