Knights suit of armor was extremely expensive to make. There were two main kinds of metal, chainmail and plate armor. Chain mail was made from thousands of metal rings. The chain mail armor had to fit the knight exactly and plate armor was sold piece of metal. Their armor had to protect them from swords, bow and arrows, crossbows, battle axes, daggers and lances. The better quality of the Knights armor, the more important was the Knight was.
Knights would use a lot of different weapons. The weapons where daggers, lances, maces, flails, swords, broadsword, etc. Knight's weapon training required a long and difficult training period spreading over at least a fourteen years. All of the Knights weapons required a high degree of skill with strength and agility.
Anyone who wanted to be a knight would have to spend their entire life learning and training to get the skills needed to be ready for battle. The parents of a young boy would introduce the idea of becoming a knight by taking them to watch tournaments. Then he would learn about weapons and battle, then he would train with a Knight.
