The cool thing about being an OB/GYN is that we work anywhere. We can work in large hospitals, we can work in outpatient clinics, and academic medical centers. With being able to pretty much work anywhere it also depends on your specialty. For example; if we decide to mainly deal with labor and delivery we will be undoubtedly be doing many over night calls and uncontrollable hours. Another example could be that; if we choose to focus on the gynecologic oncology side of things we will be spending more time doing surgeries in the OR and our hours will be more predictable. Also, if we choose to open a practice with other doctors we can share the responsibilities of splitting the hours equally
