Essay On Becoming A Behavioral Analyst

Behavioral analysts "assess individuals with behavioral problems, study changes the environment has on behavior or implement plans to fix bad behaviors" (Behavior Analyst: Job Description and Education Requirements). Behavior Analysts can work in many departments, whether it is with the police force, FBI, or in any psychology field. They study how the brain works. Behavioral Analysts need a masters degree in a field related to Behavioral Analyzation, in addition they also need to be certified by the Behavioral Analyst certification Board. Before BA's gets their real job they have to have specific training which can be obtained by different things. They can have different duties depending on where the Behavioral Analysts works, or there job site. Behavioral Analysts need to be observant in situations to pickup on any leads, have skilled training to gain behavioral experience, and have confidentiality with law enforcement and patients. In this occupation there are many different skills, abilities and education needed to pursue a job as a behavioral analyst. As shown in the research, this career has many job options although it takes time to get there because of the education needed. Eventually all the hard-work will payoff. Some characteristics needed for this occupation are patience, being a good listener, having confidentiality and being observant just to name some of the very important characteristics. Plenty of education, a certification and plenty of experience is needed for this career path. Without Behavior Analysts things wouldn't be the same in the medical field nor in the criminal
