Children that have autism are very sensitive in every aspect. What is normal to others, is not normal for children that have autism. Autism is a complex neurobehavioral disorder that includes social interaction and developmental language, communication skills are combined with rigid repetitive behaviors (WebMd). Autistic kids may have a higher or lower functioning level to some of the characteristics. Their symptoms may be mild or major. If the case of autism is mild, most of these people can learn to live on their own without any problems. Although the people with a more sever case of autism, will need a lifelong supervision and care. The number of children diagnosed with autism seems to be increasing as the years go on. Autism affects all races, ethnic groups and socioeconomic levels, It is known that boys are more likely than girls to have autism (EMedicineHealth). There is no cure for autism however, children nowadays are institutionalized. Autism each and everyday is becoming more understood. There is treatment that is there for autistic kids, though with earlier diagnosis will make treatment plans better and more valuable. Although autism is a result of neurologic abnormality the cause of the problems with the nervous system is unknown (Norwell). The environment, immunologic and metabolic all influence on the autism disorder. There is no single gene that is responsible for autism, researchers suggest that a variety of genes combined together increase the risk of a child getting autism.
