Essay On Auschwitz's Camp

The complexity about this passage is that the Nazi German makes Auschwitz’s camp as if it was a killing factory. They killed thousands and thousands of innocent Hungarian Jews and Gypsies each day just because of their religion and the way they looked or spoke. Others were killed if they did not follow the ideology of the Hitler’s regime. Sometimes, a family could be asleep and their home would be raided at night. The next thing you know, they would be dragged out to the camp’s gas chamber. This holocaust massacre is complex and difficult to digest because innocent people shouldn’t have to go through the struggle they went through just to survive each day. As in the Auschwitz camp, the SS appointed functionaries, who were once prisoners, to turn against their own people. After all the killing and torture of Jews in Auschwitz, the SS tried to liquidate the camp so there was no evidence to be found. Furthermore, it is just difficult to see that the Nazis would cremate the bodies of people after being gassed. According to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, “Between late April and early July 1944, approximately 440,000 Hungarian Jews were deported, around 426,000 of them to Auschwitz. The SS sent approximately 320,000 of them directly to the gas chambers in Auschwitz-Birkenau” (Holocaust encyclopedia).
