When going into work there are several things an assistant athletic director has to do each and every day. Some things people know about, but there are also some things people don’t know that the assistant athletic director is doing. This job has a very important role to the flow of things when it comes to athletics. Without an assistant director, that would just put too much work on the head director. With this, “The head director can focus more on scheduling games, coaching, developing coaches, as well as many other responsibilities that fall under his leadership.” So, “I handle all of the administrative responsibilities associated with the athletic department.”
She said, “I’m over cross country, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, track, tennis, and golf.” The first thing she said she did in the morning was, “When I go in to work in the morning, the first thing I need to do is see what communications need to go out for the day.” She then would send out communications via email and text to make sure everyone receives the information being sent. If and when any uniforms for athletes come in, she distributes those next. After uniforms have been passed out, she logs any incoming athletic papers and funds that may be for the next game day. If necessary, she then communicates to coaches to see if there is any scheduled practice changes or any information that needs to be passed on to athletes.
